Heather has a masters degree in marriage and family counseling and has been a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor for sixteen years, in Private Practice for the last fourteen years, and has worked in the helping profession for over 25 years.  She developed Treasure Wellness Counseling and Training Center and is the Clinical Director at the practice she built -  supervising graduate student interns as well as professionals seeking clinical licensure.  

Heather specializes in couple, family, and corporate relationships.  Her passion is to improve satisfaction in all relationships – with self, with another, and socially.  She has further honed proficiency in communication skills, conflict management, and identification of primary needs.  

While counseling and consulting are her main passions, leadership and service to her profession is another.  She trains regularly on leadership development skills and mentors fellow counseling organizations on a international level.  Heather has served the counseling profession proudly over the last 18 years with the Idaho Counseling Association, American Counseling Association, and the International Association of Psychology and Counseling. 

Our 25 years of highly qualified experience are combined to create a new paradigm to help individuals, couples, families, and  businesses realize the reality of their potential. 

Having worked together for over 10 years, Heather and Robert have had the opportunity to work in tandem to approach client issues from a variety of different angles. They saw by embracing their individually unique  perspectives in the co-facilitation format they were able to create a more dynamic and ultimately beneficial  product for their clients. 

Having  experienced first hand the truth of the Gestalt principle, "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts," they decided to develop consulting as a team.  Consulting offers the opportunity to focus on basic human interaction and promote ownership of one's behavior. This removes the necessity to pathololgize through diagnosing basic human experience normal for the lifespan. 

They saw an opportunity for a different type of service.  A service that streamlines, de-clutters, makes more accessible, makes more comfortable; all while delivering a superior service. They learned they were better and more effective working together.

Robert has a masters degree in marriage and family counseling and has  been a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor for eight years. He has  worked in the mental health field for the past eleven years all of which have focused on family system development.  Currently, Robert owns his own private practice, sits on the board for Treasure Wellness Counseling and Training Center, and is a Clinical Supervisor for TWCTC.

His approach and background tend toward an existential systems perspective which lends itself to working with couples, parents, and families  focusing on individual perspectives and responsibilities within their given system(s).

In regard to working within a system, Robert currently works as a Licensed  Clinical Professional Counselor but recognizes the need and opportunity for a different style of service. Roberts #1 value in life is autonomy. He has struggled against the status quo where autonomy is often not promoted and continually looks for ways to increase autonomy across the board. Counseling is an invaluable service that has it's place and deserves to be promoted, however, it  doesn’t work for all. Consulting removes 3rd party oversight and allows each participant of the consulting relationship ultimate freedom to define what service looks like.
